The ancient name of mountain tea was «Sideritis» (Ironwort) because of its high content of iron but also they believed that it helped in the rapid healing of wounds.
It treated as a therapeutic plant due to its soothing properties against colds, all households were never without it. New scientific research has proved that the Sideritis plant helps with the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
Mountain Tea is the ideal companion for cold winter days. It is served after being in boiling water for 5-7 minutes; honey or lemon can be added depending on the individual’s taste.
