Thymian ist eine w\u00fcrzige Kr\u00e4uterpflanze, eine aromatische, mehrj\u00e4hrige immergr\u00fcne Pflanze mit medizinischen, kulinarischen und die Ern\u00e4hrung betreffenden Vorteilen. Thymian wird ebenfalls als Zierstrauch verwendet, da er einen nat\u00fcrlichen, beruhigenden Duft verstr\u00f6mt. Sein botanischer Name ist Thymus Vulgaris und er geh\u00f6rt zur Thymus-Familie, einer Unterart der Minz-Familie (Lamiaceae). Er ist auch mit dem Oregano, einem weiteren Vertreter der Minz- Familie, verwandt.<\/p>\n

Thymian hat einen starken, leicht w\u00fcrzigen Geschmack, daher m\u00fcssen wir bei der Verwendung vorsichtig sein. Er kann Fleisch, Gefl\u00fcgel, Fisch, Saucen, H\u00fclsenfr\u00fcchte und K\u00e4se begleiten. Es ist ein Kraut, das zu Beginn des Kochens verwendet werden muss, damit es Zeit hat, sein Aroma freizusetzen. Es eignet sich auch sehr gut zum Marinieren und kann besonders zu gegrillten Gerichten und gegrilltem Fleisch mit Basilikum und Rosmarin kombiniert werden.<\/p>\n
